CT Technologist

The CT Technologist provides high-quality, safe imaging services at a healthcare facility, working as a vital member of the care team. They perform CT procedures, adjust techniques for optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process. Key responsibilities include obtaining clinical history, explaining procedures using AIDET, administering contrast with sterile technique, positioning patients, reviewing images for quality, and documenting accurately in RIS/PACS systems. They must monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and maintain equipment and workspaces in compliance with infection control standards. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and at least one year of radiology experience. Certifications required include ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS. Ideal skills encompass technical proficiency, attention to detail, patient communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
