Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role offers genuine schedule flexibility, allowing for remote work with occasional office visits as needed. The position provides real litigation experience and a clear path to a senior role within the firm.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Prepare Marital Settlement Agreements and Allocation Judgments.
• Appear in court via Zoom and in-person for various hearings and trials.
• Prepare Pre-Trial Memos, Witness Disclosures, and Exhibits.
• Manage cases from intake through resolution with consistent client communication.
• Navigate county court portals and filing systems independently.
• Cover court appearances across multiple counties with reliable transportation.
• Meet deadlines and billing requirements independently.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in family law litigation.
• Ability to draft legal documents and manage cases independently.
• Prior courtroom experience in contested and evidentiary hearings and trials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills

• Self-motivated with strong case management skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Detail-oriented with high standards for professional conduct.
