Program Description Idaho Smart Growth is a statewide, independent nonprofit aiming to bring people together to create great places to live. Since 2000, ISG has collaborated with partners throughout the Gem State to preserve and enhance quality of life, offering a range of programs to help make communities more attractive, economically stronger, and safer for everyone. Our headquarters is in downtown Boise, conveniently near some of the best restaurants, entertainment, and access to outdoor recreation in the state. Idaho has remained one of the fastest-growing states in the country, posing unique challenges and opportunities for housing affordability and economic opportunity. Member Duties The Development & Strategic Planning Coordinator VISTA will build capacity for ISG’s efforts to promote affordability, sustainability, and healthy communities across the state. Primary duties will include the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy, including membership engagement and development, donor cultivation and solicitation, marketing and branding efforts, and fundraising calendar buildout. As a part of these efforts, this position will lead the development of ISG’s next five-year strategic plan by conducting relevant research, collecting feedback from beneficiary populations, partner organizations, and other groups through surveys and interviews, creating draft proposals for presentation, and working closely with other staff to identify and operationalize smart growth strategies within high-needs communities. VISTA member will record these deliverables using templates within our organization’s shared network, and will supplement presentations to the ISG Board, donor networks, and other groups as needed. The VISTA member will also assist in recording funds and membership in our donor management system.
