The Maintenance Technician will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane and measuring and testing instruments. Roles and Responsibilities Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment Make departmental rearrangements Repair and maintain building systems including water, compressed air, heating and air conditioning Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment Build and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures Requisition material and supplies to complete repairs and installations Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition Follow all company policies and procedures diligently and effectively Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned Required Qualifications Associates Degree or equivalent or four to six years building and equipment maintenance experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Power and hand tools, forklift truck, electric cart, power lifts and overhead crane experience preferred Forklift operator, driver’s license required Equal Opportunity Statement Komline is an EEO employer – M/F/Vets/Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr
