Ultrasonographer - Days Shift - On-Call

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, On-Call (7am - 9pm), weekends/holidays - No week night or overnight call.

Job Description

The Ultrasonographer performs all routine and specialized sonographic testing and provides essential clerical support for patient testing. The position requires a commitment to the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic general ultrasound examinations.
• Utilize sonographic skills to capture appropriate anatomical and pathological images.
• Prepare and educate patients on procedures and examinations.
• Perform all General Ultrasound assisted procedures.
• Operate complex ultrasound equipment and monitor performance.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and report equipment issues as necessary.
• Schedule and manage appointments for ultrasound exams and procedures.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and patient records.
• Provide on-call emergency coverage as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate degree preferred.
• Graduate of ARDMS school of sonography.
• Licensure in the State of Maine is required.
• ARDMS registration is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in high-stress situations is a plus.
