Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator supports daily HR functions within a fast-paced food service environment. This role is an entry-level position that assists with recruitment, onboarding, Team Member relations, training coordination, and compliance with labor laws and food service regulations. The HR Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining a positive, care culture and ensuring Chick-fil-A Team Members are supported throughout their employment lifecycle.

Recruitment & Staffing (30%)
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruiting for hourly restaurant positions (e.g., Team Members, Team Leads, Trainers, Shift Manager, Assistant Directors, and Directors for Front-of-House and Back-of-House positions as well as administrative positions as needed).
  • Post job openings, screen applications and resumes, and schedule interviews (virtual or onsite).
  • Collaborate with Operations Directors to meet staffing needs during various seasons of the business (e.g., peak, off-peak).
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and candidate records for accuracy and proper record keeping.
Onboarding & Training (10%)
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure completion of required hiring documentation (I-9, W-4, WOTC, Food Handler's Certificates, etc.).
  • Order company-issued uniforms for all new hires.
Employee Relations (10%)
  • Serve as a point of contact for Team Member questions regarding policies, payroll, and benefits.
  • Support conflict resolution and disciplinary processes under the supervision of the Talent Director or Executive Director of Operations.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive care culture in collaboration with the restaurant's Chaplain.
Human Resources Administration (20%)
  • Maintain accurate Team Member records and Human Resource databases.
  • Assist with payroll processing, uniform deductions, tips from delivery, mileage reimbursement, administrative hours, and timekeeping audits.
  • Track attendance, turnover, and other Human Resources metrics.
  • Support performance review processes to foster a care culture throughout the organization.
  • Support retention strategies to reduce turnover.
Operations, Compliance & Safety (20%)
  • Serve in Operations to cover Team Member shifts in the Front-of-House and Back-of House.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including wage and hour regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Support workplace safety initiatives and incident reporting as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in talent development or Human Resources, ideally in a multi-unit or high-volume hospitality/restaurant environment.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable recruitment, project, or leadership development programs.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically across multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and foster a high-performance care culture.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license with proof of liability insurance and a clean driving record (or no accidents in the last three (3) years)
  • Serve Safe Food Handler's Certification or state-certified equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Previous Chick-fil-A, food service, or full service restaurant experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
