Job Title: Assembler

City and State: Marengo, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (2nd Shift)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire

Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting on-time delivery requirements through efficient assembly operations. The role includes performing assembly or non-CNC operations according to standard work procedures, manufacturing instructions, and quality plans within the production cell.

Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly operations such as ball nut assembly following standard work documentation and quality plans.
• Operate small hand tools and equipment including debur tools, engraver, saws, straightener, buffer, and overhead hoist.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain daily communication with team members and other facilities to support workflow.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and 5S standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret prints, manufacturing instructions (MI's), and quality plans (QP's).
• Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to a variety of work situations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and repetitive movement; willingness to work overtime as needed.
