Job Details Position: Physician Assistant - ICU Employment Type: Locum tenens Setting: Multi-specialty medical-surgical community hospital ICU Location: Cumming, Georgia (North Atlanta area) Start Date: 07/28/2026 End Date: 08/04/2026 Duration: 7 weeks Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,520 - $4,170 Opening: 1 position Job Requirements Active national and state licensure as a Physician Assistant Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU or critical care setting Strong proficiency with ICU procedures, especially central line and arterial line insertion Ability to manage critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Experience with Cerner EMR preferred for order entry and documentation Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills For NP candidates, acute care certification is required Responsibilities Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill ICU patients Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions Collaborate closely with attending physicians to develop and update plans of care Document histories, physicals, consults, follow-up notes, and procedure notes in the EMR Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate findings to the care team Work with ICU nursing staff to support timely, coordinated patient care Participate in multidisciplinary rounds each shift Perform invasive procedures such as central line and arterial line insertions , according to credentialing standards Apply now to join this exciting ICU Physician Assistant locum tenens opportunity in Cumming, Georgia, and be part of a dedicated critical care team.
