Job Description

Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse), Interventional Radiology (IR)

Shift: 10H Days 4X10s (Either 0700-1730 or 0730-1800 based on shift need) plus call; Call shifts average 4-5 shifts a month.

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

This position requires an experienced IR RN or an ICU RN with IR experience. The role involves working in a Level I Trauma setting, performing tasks related to body interventional radiology procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform body IR procedures including chemo embo, Y-90, GJ, IVC filters, vascular access, angiograms, CT biopsy, ablations, US biopsies, thoracenteses, and paracenteses.
• Maintain competence in sterile field management and complete SIMs Lab competencies for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Occasional weekend and possible holiday shift coverage may be required.
• Participate in educational activities related to lifts, restraints, and wound care.

Requirements:

• MUST have Neuro IR experience and Level I Trauma experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance with up to two attempts.
• Travel teams must provide their own vehicles; all nurses must have natural hair color, no facial piercings, and men must be clean-shaven for fit tests.
