Job Title: CVOR CST Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in acute OR setting License: Current and valid CST/ORT license preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years of current experience in an acute OR setting. Candidates must be able to scrub and be proficient in all service lines. Certification is not required. Description: The unit has 2 rooms and is staffed with 1 RN and 1 Tech during the day. On-call staff includes 2 RNs and 1 Tech. The patient ratio is 1:1. Typical equipment includes Impella, ECMO, bypass pump, and laser for lead extraction. The documentation system used is Meditech. Call requirements are split and depend on staffing. Typical procedures performed in the unit include joint replacement, ENT, orthopedics, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery. Candidates should be proficient in charting, multitasking, and critical thinking. An excellent bedside manner is preferred. OR scrubs are provided by the unit. The facility has been a designated top-performing hospital since 1980, certified as a primary stroke center, and recognized for its surgical programs.
