• Weekly Hours: 35.00
• Compensation: This role may qualify for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000!

The role involves conducting diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring high-quality imaging while exercising professional judgment throughout the procedures. The work schedule consists of 7 consecutive days on followed by 7 days off, from Wednesday to Tuesday, between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing patient care and initiating life support measures when necessary.
• Effectively communicating with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Operating CT equipment proficiently to generate quality scans and performing related protocols.
• Learning and adapting to new technologies and assisting in the orientation of new staff members.
• Gathering information from patients or their representatives to enhance personalized treatment and care.
• Understanding the physical and emotional status of patients across all age groups.

Responsibilities may expand based on the needs of the facility, including:

• Participating in on-call rotations during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Conducting diagnostic radiology procedures and basic tasks while adhering to general radiology protocols.
• Performing mobile imaging, electrocardiograms (EKG), cardiac monitor placements, and dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.

• Completion of formal training in Radiologic Technology from an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited institution or a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) approved program is essential.
• Experience or training in Computerized Tomography (CT) is preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is mandatory upon hire.
• CT certification within two years is preferred, in accordance with Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) and American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation standards.
• For those working in North Dakota, licensure from the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required for medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures.
• In Aberdeen, South Dakota, CT certification must be obtained within 24 months of employment.
• In Iowa, all technologists must possess a permit to practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and I.V. certification must be completed within six weeks of employment, with re-certification as needed.
