Job Opportunity – Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule; 6:1 patient ratio

Highlights:

• 34-bed post-operative medical-surgical unit with comprehensive support including unit secretary during day shift and tech support on days and nights
• Work with advanced equipment including telemetry, IV pumps, PCA, feeding pumps, continuous pulse oximetry, and iMobile communication technology
• Meditech electronic documentation system for streamlined workflow
• Facility holds prestigious certifications: Comprehensive Stroke Center, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center
• Clear floating policy with contract labor rotating first; structured scheduling approach
• Emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care with bedside shift reporting and family involvement in care planning

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or multi-state compact)
• Current BLS certification required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively
• Competency in IV insertion, basic wound care, and management of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Navy scrubs required (top and bottom)
