Job Description BOTTLING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC POSTING Job Title: Production/Packaging Mechanic (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing) Location: Suffolk County, NY Salary: $18/hr to $23/hr Depending on experience (plus OT) Shift: Both 1st shift (Monday through Friday) Job Responsibilities: Repair, replace, and troubleshoot various production and packaging equipment associated throughout the facility Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment Perform preventative maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to operate efficiently Communicate to Maintenance Supervisor/ Plant Manager any conditions that prevent the manufacture of product to established standards Perform technical and administrative duties i.e. paperwork and daily reports Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal, OSHA, GMP’s, SOP’s and other company Policy and Procedures Qualifications: Mechanically and electronically inclined Able to read blue prints and do layout work/sketches and use basic hand tools and power tools. Prior experience as a Mechanic in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment Familiar with food processing and packaging equipment Ability to work in a refrigerated environment Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
