Senior Accountant

Staff AccountantHybrid Role in Philadelphia, PADescription:Review, process, and ensure timely payment of approved vendor invoices and employee expense reports.Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company accounting policies.Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies, resolving issues in a timely manner.Analyze financial data and account activity to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with company policies.Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.Collaborate with business partners and department leaders to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making.Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within accounting operations.Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis activities as needed.Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, assisting with training and knowledge sharing.Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives as assigned.Skills:5+ years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with Sage IntacctFamiliarity with Accounts Payable processesExperience with Tableau/Python a plusBachelors in Accounting, Finance or related fieldCPA NOT required but a huge plus Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Philadelphia, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
