PCU Travel Nurse - Somerset, KY

This PCU travel nurse position in Somerset, Kentucky, with Advantis Medical is a 26-week Travel PCU Registered Nurse (RN) contract at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. This role pays $1,771 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.

In this PCU travel nursing role, you will provide progressive care in a hospital setting, assess and monitor patient conditions, support urgent interventions, document care accurately, and collaborate with physicians and the clinical care team during fast-moving patient situations.

Responsibilities

• Manage higher-acuity patients stepping down from intensive care who require close monitoring
• Monitor continuous telemetry and hemodynamic status, recognizing and escalating changes promptly
• Administer medications and IV therapy, including titratable drips approved for the unit, per facility protocol
• Care for patients on high-flow oxygen and non-invasive ventilation when assigned

Travel Nursing Requirements

• 2+ years of recent PCU nursing experience
• Active Kentucky RN License

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is an acute care hospital serving south-central Kentucky, with internal medicine and family medicine residency programs.
