TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87102!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years preferred; 2 years preferred License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Cardiovascular experience required Description: PCU Nights position available. The unit has 55 beds. The patient ratio is 1:4. The weekend requirement is as needed, with a rotating schedule. Float requirement is present. There is no on-call requirement. Block scheduling is case-by-case. The unit provides care for adults and geriatrics. Daily census averages 38 patients. Interdisciplinary support available includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Specialties include CHF, STEMI, and NSTEMI. Experience with telemetry and cardiac procedures is essential. Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and management of cardiac drips. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and provide non-invasive airway management is essential. Pediatric experience is not required. Travelers will float to like units as needed based on facility needs. Brief orientation will be provided. Previous staff must wait a year before returning.
