About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Strong orthopedic experience - Circulate experience required - Scrub experience preferred Description: Days 3x12 hour shifts starting at 06:30 - 19:00. 4-6 shifts of call in a 6-week schedule, with holiday coverage as needed. Should be able to perform general surgery, orthopedics, orthopedic trauma, and plastics. Call schedule is 19:00 - 07:00 on weekdays and 07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00 on weekends. Response time for call is 45 minutes. Team members are required to work after call if needed for breaks or lunches. If called after midnight, team members receive up to 8 hours of rest time. All travelers must float within the service line for staffing purposes. Travelers should have skills in amputations, appendectomy, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, code response, total joint replacement, and more. Daily census includes 50+ cases. Patients cared for are adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. A consistent charge RN is on shift during nights and weekends. Team members are expected to fulfill their signed commitment and are not allowed to cancel mid-contract for new assignments.
