Job Description

Henry Ford Providence Hospital is consistently named a top performing Cardiology Hospital in Michigan. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is dedicated to providing top quality care to the patients we serve. We perform a full complement of invasive and interventional cardiovascular procedures including coronary interventions, vascular interventions, cardiac rhythm management devices and electrophysiology procedures

KEY RESPONSIBIITIES:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

SCHEDULE : (4) days per week, 10 hour Day shift, On Call Required (Must be able to report to hospital within 30 minutes). Full-time Benefit Eligible.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. 
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. 
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• One to two (1-2) years Critical Care, Cardiology Experience or Emergency Department experience.
• One year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, specifically
• ACLS
