Asset & Preventative Maintenance Manager

The UAA Facilities Maintenance and Operations (FMO) office is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual ready to take on multifaceted and exciting work. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be self-directed to ensure database accuracy and preventative maintenance program is aligned with industry best practice standards. This position will manage the preventive maintenance program and asset management for the UAA Facilities Maintenance & Operations department. The person will work closely with Supervisors and staff to assist with keeping preventive maintenance on schedule and to ensure that asset data is accurate and current. Facilities and Campus Services is an organization consisting of 3 major divisions: Facilities Maintenance/ Operations, Facilities Planning and Construction, and Environmental Health and Safety. It is the responsibility of these divisions to provide a safe effective environment for the students and staff of the university to study, work and live. Candidate must have substantial journeyman level experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of heavy commercial and industrial HVAC related systems; possess knowledge and skills to install, operate, maintain, and repair boilers, hydronic systems, humidification and cooling systems; have the knowledge and ability to comprehend blueprints and schematics. Must have a good working knowledge of Pneumatic control systems. Applicant must have previous experience and familiarity with monitoring and adjusting computerized building automation systems. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, a master's degree is a plus, or minimum of 5 years in asset management, facility operations, journeyman certification, construction, maintenance and/or building trades and experience with computers: including database entry/operation. A valid Alaska Driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria. Position Details: This position is located on the UAA Main campus in Anchorage, and flexible on-site work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package .
