Mainframe Operations & Scheduling Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Consultant with strong expertise in payments processing and ACH systems to support enterprise-level banking applications. The role involves development, maintenance, production support, and enhancement of mainframe-based payment processing systems, ensuring smooth ACH operations and end-to-end transaction lifecycle management. COBOL

, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS. Support ACH processing systems, including both batch and real-time transaction flows. Manage end-to-end payment lifecycle, including NACHA file processing, settlements, clearing, and reconciliation. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system enhancements and releases. Participate in testing activities, deployment cycles, and production support operations. Ensure system stability, performance, and compliance within payment processing environments. Support scheduled batch jobs and ensure timely execution of critical financial processes. Required Skills & Experience 8–10 years of experience in mainframe application development and support. Strong hands-on experience with: COBOL JCL DB2 VSAM CICS Strong knowledge of ACH processing systems and NACHA standards. Experience in payment processing and banking transaction lifecycle.
