Description: Join the RBCC Talon Tribe as a Line Cook! Rehoboth Beach Country Club is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Line Cook to join our Talon Tribe. The Line Cook plays an important role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests by preparing high-quality food with consistency, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship. Position: Line Cook Wage Class: Non-exempt Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week; schedule varies based on business needs, including weekends, holidays, and special events Salary: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience Reports To: Executive Chef / Sous Chef Department: Food & Beverage This position offers approximately 35 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time year-round position after six months based on performance, reliability, and business needs. Essential Functions

• Prepares and cooks menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and established kitchen procedures.
• Maintains assigned kitchen station with proper setup, organization, and stocked ingredients throughout service.
• Executes food preparation and cooking responsibilities efficiently during restaurant, banquet, and special event service.
• Ensures all food is prepared safely, cooked to proper temperatures, and meets RBCC quality standards.
• Assists with daily prep work, including chopping, portioning, and preparing ingredients for service.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Properly stores, labels, dates, and rotates food products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Communicates effectively with culinary team members and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and an exceptional member experience.
• Assists with receiving deliveries, inventory management, and kitchen organization as needed.
• Supports a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture aligned with RBCC's Talon Tribe values.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety standards.
• Dependable attendance and a willingness to support the team during busy service periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, carry, and handle kitchen supplies and equipment.
