Direct Care Worker in Scranton/Clarks Green

Job Summary: iCare Elder Services LLC is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Direct Care Worker (Days and Evening) to join our team and provide individualized care and support to elderly individuals in Scranton/Clarks Green, Pennsylvania. This is a Full-time hourly job, with compensation of $16 to $19 per hour. As an individual contributor, the Direct Care Worker will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being and independence of our clients. Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance and support to clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding according to dietary and nutritional needs
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing
• Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health and well-being to a supervisor
• Follow care plans and update them as needed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a home care setting is preferred
• Must have a current CPR/First Aid certification
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Compassionate and patient attitude towards elderly individuals
• Basic knowledge of personal care and hygiene practices
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
