Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Virginia-licensed Nurse Practitioners for a locum tenens opportunity in an emergency department setting. This role offers a structured environment with consistent patient volume and collaborative clinical support.
Opportunity Highlights
- Emergency Medicine locum tenens
- Annual ED volume: 14,000
- General hospital outpatient setting
- Coverage: 1 PM to 9 PM shifts
- EMR: Meditech
- Active Virginia medical license required
- Credentialing for emergency department privileges
- Strong team support with 24 MD and 8 NPPA coverage daily
Schedule Details
- Start: ASAP, ongoing
- Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Coverage: Daily shifts, with flexibility to discuss further scheduling needs
Clinical Scope
- Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency medical presentations
- Management of acute medical and traumatic cases
- Collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital support teams
- Disposition, transfer, and discharge coordination
- Documentation and order entry within Meditech EMR
Requirements
- Active Virginia medical license
- DEA registration for Virginia
- ACLS certification
- CME and case logs from the past 2 years
- Valid driver’s license, malpractice documentation, and all relevant diplomas and training records
