The Buttery is growing and launching dinner service. If you're a cook who cares about quality, craftsmanship, and being part of a strong, supportive team, we'd love to meet you! Full time and part time positions available- looking to add team members who can work after 3pm and on weekends. Hourly rate is $15-20 an hour with benefits.

Overview

The Line Cook plays an essential role in bringing The Buttery's menu to life, transforming thoughtfully sourced, high-quality ingredients into beautiful, nourishing dishes. This is a role rooted in craft: preparing, cooking, and plating each item with precision, pride, and deep attention to detail. Working in our fast-paced kitchen means being part of a team that cares deeply about food, from the farms and purveyors we partner with to the final plate that reaches our guests. Every recipe reflects intention. Every component is handled with care. As a Line Cook, you'll collaborate closely with a team committed to excellence, consistency, and hospitality, creating fresh, seasonal food that showcases the integrity of local ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present menu items following recipes, portion sizes, and standards.
• Operate various kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, stoves, grills) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
• Monitor and control inventory levels, assisting with stock rotation and minimizing food waste.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure proper quantity and quality of products.
• Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation during peak service hours.
• Communicate any issues or concerns regarding food quality, safety, or kitchen equipment to the Sous Chef.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and listening skills.
• Passion for hospitality and creating excellent meals.
• Be caring, self-motivated, and exhibit an aptitude for learning, teaching & teamwork.
