Junior Sous Chef – Gastropub Concept
Conshohocken, PA
Salary $55-65k + benefits, growth potential!
Join our team as a Junior Sous Chef in Conshohocken, PA at a high-energy gastropub known for elevated pub fare, craft beer, and scratch-made comfort food. We’re looking for a driven Junior Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations, execute quality service, and grow into leadership within our Conshohocken, PA location.
What You’ll Do as Junior Sous Chef:
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing line operations, prep, and service for our busy Conshohocken, PA gastropub
- Lead by example during dinner rush, brunch, and special events while maintaining speed, quality, and consistency
- Train and coach line cooks on recipes, techniques, plating standards, and kitchen safety
- Help with ordering, inventory, and waste control to meet food cost goals
- Ensure health code compliance, cleanliness, and proper food storage in our Conshohocken, PA kitchen
- Contribute to seasonal menu R&D, daily specials, and gastropub-driven features
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of kitchen experience with at least 1 year in a lead line cook or Junior Sous Chef role
- Strong foundation in scratch cooking, sauté, grill, fry, and garde manger
- Passion for gastropub cuisine, craft beer pairings, and elevated casual dining
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- ServSafe certification preferred; strong organizational and communication skills required
