Work Environment The role is performed onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in San Mateo, California. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess functional limitations and develop personalized treatment plans that target their specific needs. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to facilitate patient recovery, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities as indicated. Track patient progress carefully, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes, and documenting all care activities through our electronic health record system, WebPT. Engage with healthcare professionals in interdisciplinary settings to provide comprehensive care and discuss patient developments. Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, home exercises, and preventive measures. Participate in departmental meetings to share insights and improve clinical practices within the team. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal issues. Our diverse patient population ranges from adolescents to seniors, each with unique rehabilitation goals and challenges. Your empathetic approach and strong interpersonal skills will be essential in building trusting relationships and guiding patients through their recovery journey. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required. Candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are preferred. Applicants must hold an active California Physical Therapy license or demonstrate eligibility to obtain one. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to delivering patient-centered care. An engaging and optimistic demeanor that fosters a positive rehabilitation experience for patients. Preferred Experience While a minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy is preferred, we value passion for the field and willingness to learn. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
