Business Title: CNA Job Location: CHESHIRE, CT 06410. Position Type: Full Time / Part Time. Education Level: Certification. Salary Range: $19.00 - $23.00 hourly. Job Purpose Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Contribute to a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting. Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment. Monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and report any changes to the nursing staff. Document resident care accurately and promptly. Assist with meal service and feeding residents as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team. Follow infection control protocols and maintain proper hygiene practices. Participate in resident activities and encourage socialization. Respond to resident call lights promptly and provide assistance as needed. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures. Attend mandatory in-service training and meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Required Experience Experience providing direct patient care in a long-term care setting preferred. Required Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Ability to lift and move patients. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment. Knowledge of basic nursing principles and procedures. Ability to document patient information accurately. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
