Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full Time Location: Jackson, NJ | Pay: $18.30 – $19.30 per hour Job Overview Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services, is seeking compassionate, caring individuals to support men with disabilities in Jackson, NJ. Our mission is "Achieve full societal participation for all people with disabilities." Your role will involve providing assistance, supervision, guidance, mentoring, and direction to our residents. Responsibilities Assist residents with intellectual and physical disabilities in daily living skills, including cooking, housekeeping, recreation, shopping, budgeting, healthy living, and hygiene. Support personal medical care and coping skills development. Teach social skills and friendship building, and help residents utilize community resources. Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to increase independence and autonomy. No prior experience required; we provide paid training. Qualifications Valid driver’s license. 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. Consent to State and Federal Criminal Background Checks. Completion of Drug Screen, Pre-Employment Physical, and PPD.
