Compensation Range: $46.90 - $63.09 per hour

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This role emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN ensures safety in their practice and incorporates evidence-based principles, while also being aware of their own knowledge and experience levels. They take responsibility for enhancing their own understanding and that of their patient care team through effective communication and the use of available resources. Additionally, the RN is tasked with reporting safety concerns, such as hazardous conditions and medical errors, and must be knowledgeable about the patient demographics they serve. They supervise and guide the delegation of tasks among team members and collaborate with other healthcare providers. The RN consistently prioritizes and evaluates interventions aimed at measurable improvements, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet individual patient needs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer usage

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
• Valid New Jersey State Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Clinical experience from an NLN accredited institution
• Eligibility for Screening Certification
• National Certification

Scheduling Requirements

• Night Shift, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse ensures safety in practice and adheres to evidence-based principles, taking responsibility for their own knowledge and that of the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization.
• They are responsible for reporting safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
• The RN must possess knowledge of the patient population they serve.
• They supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• The RN consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
• As both an individual practitioner and an interdisciplinary team leader, the RN employs the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and customize care plans to meet specific patient needs.
