Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care within the healthcare framework, adhering to the guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This role emphasizes a commitment to ethical practice as outlined by the ANA Code of Ethics. The RN is responsible for ensuring safety in their practice and incorporates evidence-based principles, while also recognizing their own knowledge and experience levels. They take initiative in enhancing their own understanding and that of their patient care team through effective communication and the utilization of available resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any identified safety concerns, including hazardous conditions (e.g., damaged floors, walls, ceiling tiles, or unsecured areas) and medical errors.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the patient demographics served.
• Oversee and guide the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Set and assess priorities consistently through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all facets of care, tailoring the care plan to meet the specific needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.
• Availability for night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week.
