Executive Protection Agent

Position Summary and Objective Executive Protection Agent will provide a client with physical protection, protective transportation, security, and welfare by performing armed or unarmed executive protection missions. The position will be based in a designated geographic region. This role supports the overall security team in client coverage and includes daily transportation for the client. Most work involves local area advances, daily travel, and providing protective security at events, appointments, and office environments. Female candidates with a law enforcement background, executive protection experience, or extensive security experience are highly encouraged to apply. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide close protection and other security-related duties for the client during domestic assignments. Perform local area travel advances to review departures, arrivals, movements, routes, and emergency actions and to assess threat vulnerabilities on all movements and travel. Operate effectively in various professional environments to ensure safety protocols and security precautions for the client and surrounding persons. Securely transport the client or family members to events and appointments. Manage client and surrounding persons to ensure safety and security precautions are maintained. Respond to emergencies and perform adequate medical first aid operations. De-escalate tense situations or individuals that arise during the conduct of a mission. Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns promptly. Communicate with clients and management through incident reports and other administrative tools. Assist with protection schedules and team assignments. Operate and maintain protective, operational, and communications equipment, including a vehicle. Promptly identify and elevate deficiencies or failures. Prepare mission plans and submit all required reports on time, including expense and closing reports. Perform all other duties as assigned. Daily Operational Activities Conduct vehicle inspection (tires, fuel, lights, GPS, first aid kit, communications, and emergency gear). Analyze current route for traffic, crime alerts, weather, and civil unrest. Verify site access for each itinerary location; reconfirm appointments and venue coordination. Perform radio and encrypted communication checks. Review CEO's itinerary and any sensitive events or travel adjustments. Advance arrival at meeting locations for security assessment. Escort principal during transitions with posture adjusted to threat level. Maintain constant readiness and secure vehicle positioning during stops. Coordinate with on-site security and ensure exit strategies are viable. Monitor surroundings, detect potential risks, and respond to changes. Conduct digital surveillance of local media, protest alerts, and police activity. Remain in close coordination with other agents, assistants, and drivers. Adapt plans to changes in executive schedule and environment. Escort CEO to the final secure location or residence. File mission report detailing incidents, deviations, and environment scans. Replenish and secure equipment for next duty cycle. Deliver handover report to incoming EP agent if shift rotation is in place. Competencies and Attributes Excellent verbal and written communication; second language skills preferred. Basic defensive driving tactics training and experience. Demonstrated experience developing relationships on assignments. Ability to maintain composure with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under urgency and pressure. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Demonstrated emotional intelligence, including self-regulation under stress, situational empathy, and the ability to read and positively influence social dynamics in high-stakes or sensitive environments. Ability to build trust and rapport with the principal, their family, staff, and external stakeholders without disrupting natural social flow. Proven social awareness and interpersonal discretion in corporate, private, and public-facing environments. Qualifications and Education 5+ years of executive protection experience, including advanced planning, surveillance, counter-surveillance operations, and security driving; international security experience preferred. High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferable. Basic medical first aid training, AED; CPR certification. TCCC or EMT highly preferred. Must be at least 21 years old and have no criminal history. A valid Driver's License in the state where the job is located is required. Completed Minnesota Security Guard Training Courses with certificate required. Completed Minnesota firearms training with certificate required. Recertification as required by employer or PDB. Must qualify on the contracted client EP firearms qualification prior to any armed assignment. This is a cold-qualification standard modeled on Federal Air Marshal principles, conducted with a program-approved subcompact pistol in concealed carry configuration. Re-qualification is required at program-directed intervals. Must meet and maintain the contracted client EP physical readiness standard. Assessment consists of four events performed for maximum repetitions or best time: dead-hang pull-ups (max reps), push-ups (max reps), sit-ups (max reps), and an 800-meter run completed in 3:45 or under. Initial assessment is conducted prior to onboarding; annual re-assessment required. Failure to meet the 800-meter time standard or a decline in overall performance scores constitutes grounds for remedial review. TSA PreCheck and/or CLEAR enrollment strongly preferred. Defensive driving tactics training/experience as an executive driver. Working knowledge of the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. HR 218 (LEOSA) eligible (preferred). Position Type and Schedule Regular Full-Time (RFT). 24/7 availability to the client while on a task. Domestic and international travel required, estimated at 15-30% of the time. Salary: $124,000 annually.
