The Sarikas Law Group, LLC , a Chicago-based law firm, is seeking a motivated and ambitious Family Law & Immigration Associate to join our team.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or junior attorney with 0–2 years of experience who wants to develop meaningful, hands-on experience in two dynamic areas of law: Family Law and Immigration .

\n

We are looking for an attorney who is eager to learn, takes pride in their work, communicates effectively with clients, and wants to grow into a capable and confident practitioner. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred.

What You'll DoFamily Law\n

\n
• Handle and assist with divorce, custody, child support, parenting time, and other family law matters.
\n
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
\n
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
\n
• Assist with hearings, mediations, status conferences, and trials.
\n
• Communicate directly with clients and provide professional, compassionate service.
\n
• Assist with negotiations and settlement discussions.
\n
• Review discovery and organize evidence, exhibits, and case materials.
\n
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure matters progress efficiently.
\n

Immigration\n

\n
• Assist with family-based immigration matters and related applications.
\n
• Prepare petitions, applications, declarations, legal briefs, and supporting documentation.
\n
• Conduct research regarding immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
\n
• Communicate with clients regarding case requirements and documentation.
\n
• Assist in preparing clients for USCIS interviews and other immigration proceedings.
\n
• Monitor case status, deadlines, and government correspondence.
\n
• Maintain organized and accurate immigration case files.
\n

What We're Looking For\n

\n
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
\n
• 0–2 years of legal experience.
\n
• Recent law graduates are encouraged to apply.
\n
• Admission to the Illinois Bar , or eligibility for admission, required.
\n
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
\n
• Strong attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
\n
• Professional, organized, dependable, and motivated.
\n
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
\n
• Genuine interest in family law and immigration.
\n
• Bilingual abilities, particularly Spanish, are a plus.
\n

Compensation & Benefits\n

Salary: $85,000-95,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience
