Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities Provide skilled, quality clinical services utilizing standard of care, evidence and outcomes-based practices with appropriate goals, duration, and intensity of service. Comply with system and regulatory requirements and guidelines for documentation, billing, and working hours. Maintain effective and appropriate communication and relationships with peers, patients, families, caregivers, and both internal and external stakeholders. Participate in mentoring and supervision of students and new hires. Participate in patient care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, staff meetings, and necessary professional and work groups in collaboration with leaders. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as part of the Intermountain Operating Model. Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and abide by service standards. Meet established productivity and efficiency standards for the department or service line. Engage in continuing education opportunities for self and staff, seeking new learning opportunities according to licensure requirements. Skills Verbal and Written Communication Versatility Interpersonal Communication Critical Thinking Decision Making Detail Oriented Time Management Quality Improvement Adaptability Active Listening Dependability Compassion Qualifications Master's Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech Language Pathology or equivalent. Current licensure in state of practice. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC). Physical Requirements Visibility and reading of information, documents, monitors, and equipment. Frequent communication with providers, colleagues, customers, patients, and visitors. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use for typing and accessing information. If driving is required, current driver’s license, reliable transportation, insured status, and acceptable driving record. Location & Compensation Intermountain Health American Fork Hospital, Intermountain Health Spanish Fork Hospital; American Fork, Utah. Scheduled weekly hours: 30.
