Senior Technical Sourcing Manager

We are seeking a Senior Technical Sourcing Manager at GoerTek Santa Clara office to expand the GoerTek Supply Chain North America Presence and further expedite the key supplier’s alliance (Design in effort). This position will provide technical and business support to integrate strategic supply chain activities and initiatives, lead GoerTek stakeholder relationship and performance throughout the key supplier alliance projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic supplier alliance and commodity management plans aligned with GoerTek’s business objectives, product roadmap, and long-term supply chain strategy. Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and ecosystem partners to support technology innovation, capacity planning, localization initiatives, and long-term business alignment. Act as a key commodity technical advisor by understanding emerging technology trends, product architecture evolution, and market dynamics across consumer electronics, XR, AI, optical, and semiconductor industries. Analyze supplier technology roadmaps, product lifecycle transitions, process migrations, and investment directions to proactively identify risks and opportunities. Partner closely with GoerTek Headquarters Global Commodity Management (GCM) organization to define sourcing strategies that support NPI (New Product Introduction), design-in activities, and technology evaluations through close collaboration with suppliers, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Support global and regional localization strategies by identifying qualified local suppliers, evaluating manufacturing capabilities, and driving supplier ecosystem development to improve supply chain resiliency and operational flexibility. Oversee project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, escalation resolution, and successful execution between GoerTek teams and suppliers. Serve as the primary interface for major US and Europe-based suppliers, driving strategic partnership development, technology collaboration, and new business opportunities. Conduct competitive analysis on suppliers, technologies, cost structures, manufacturing capabilities, and supply chain alternatives to support strategic sourcing and business decisions. Monitor geopolitical developments, market intelligence, and regulatory changes impacting supplier relationships, commodity strategies, localization planning, and overall supply chain operations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operation Management or related technical field. 10+ years of experience in High-Tech Industry Product Management, Commodity or Component management field. Strong analytical skill, strategic thinking ability. Program or project management experiences preferred. Cross-functional team leadership, coaching, influencing, facilitation, negotiations, presentation and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, work collaboratively with internal and external teams across different regions and cultures. Familiarity with semiconductor supply chain trends including process technology evolution, packaging technologies, capacity allocation, and component lifecycle management. Travel at our HQ or customers’ request. The base pay range for this role is between $157,685.00 to $189,222.00 annually and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Preferred Skills Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Material Science, or related disciplines is highly desirable. Knowledge of semiconductor device fabrication, device theory, product roadmap, and market trends. Mandarin Chinese Speaking is a plus.
