Vascular Surgeon

The Position

MarinHealth Medical Network and the UCSF Department of Surgery are seeking a vascular surgeon to join a well-established, growing vascular surgery practice serving Marin County and the North Bay. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative practice supported by a premier UCSF-affiliated health system, state-of-the-art facilities, and a robust multidisciplinary referral network. This position will be based in Marin to support the continued expansion of the vascular and endovascular surgery practice at MarinHealth Medical Center and the MarinHealth Medical Network North Bay clinics.

• Join an established, high-performing vascular surgery team consisting of vascular surgeons and dedicated advanced practice providers.
• Work with an expansive, collaborative network of exceptional primary care and specialists.
• Full-time position based in Marin, with employment through UCSF Department of Surgery
• Exciting growth opportunity with strong clinical, administrative, philanthropic, marketing and service line support

• The practice includes a broad range of open and endovascular procedures at MarinHealth Medical Center and also includes vascular trauma at our level 3 trauma center, complex aortic disease, spine exposure, and a dedicated limb preservation program.
• New hospital building with state-of-the-art operating rooms and interventional labs, including a hybrid OR
• Call is approximately 1:4
• On site vascular lab
• Opportunities to participate in research and collaborate on clinical projects at UCSF and with other departments
• Epic electronic health record utilized

The Position Requirements

• M.D. or D.O.
• Candidates must be board certified or board eligible.
• Applicants must have completed or will complete by the time of hire, an accredited Vascular Surgery fellowship or integrated Vascular Surgery residency program.
• Both experienced vascular surgeons and graduating fellows are encouraged to apply.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in California 
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and be able to develop strong relationships with patients, as well as sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences 
• Practice evidence-based medicine and possess a strong philosophy of excellence in patient care and excellence in the overall patient experience 
• Conversational Spanish a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See [Table 5]( The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan ( which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
