Operations Manager - Janitorial

Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee janitorial and facility maintenance operations across multiple client sites. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading field teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring high-quality service delivery while meeting budget and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial and facility operations across assigned accounts
• Conduct site inspections and client walk-throughs to ensure service quality
• Manage employee schedules, labor planning, and operational workflows
• Lead, train, and develop supervisors and cleaning staff
• Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, and employee retention
• Review payroll and timekeeping records for accuracy
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally
• Monitor operational performance, inventory, equipment, and supply usage
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability goals
• Coordinate extra project work and subcontractor activities as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in janitorial or facility services management
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures and floor care
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience managing budgets, labor, and operational performance
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and timekeeping systems
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings as needed
