Job Overview The Health Technology Commercial Leader will play a critical role in shaping and advancing one of BD’s most strategic growth initiatives, focused on driving growth creation through learning velocity, behavioral insights, and iterative experimentation across emerging care delivery models. Responsibilities Drive development of end-to-end commercial strategy including consumer and provider insight–driven segmentation, value proposition design, channel strategy, and ecosystem orchestration. Leverage experience in commercializing and scaling new offerings, especially in DTC, digitally enabled, or non-traditional healthcare channels. Provide commercial inputs to business cases: market sizing, revenue projections, and growth opportunities. Design and execute rapid experimentation cycles (MVPs, pilots, A/B testing) to validate commercial models and go‑to‑market approaches. Build new commercial capabilities for emerging care models, including digital engagement, customer acquisition, and service‑oriented delivery. Apply consumer, digital health, and access‑driven care best practices to accelerate innovation. Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships essential to new business models. Co‑create solutions with partners across digital platforms, service providers, and channel players. Orchestrate ecosystem stakeholders to deliver integrated, patient‑centric experiences. Lead across a matrixed team, partnering with R&D, Business Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Operations to drive results. Translate strategy into clear execution plans with test‑and‑learn cycles, balancing speed with rigor. Align stakeholders and maintain momentum in an evolving environment. Identify key evidence needs to support clinical, operational, and economic value propositions. Partner with Medical Affairs and HEOR to support data generation and market development strategies. Engage external stakeholders and thought leaders to build trust, credibility, and adoption. Qualifications B.S./B.A. in business, science, marketing, or health care (required). M.B.A. strongly desired. 7–10+ years of commercial strategy, global marketing, or business development experience in healthcare, life sciences, medtech, or adjacent industries. Experience launching and scaling new products, services, or platforms—especially in patient‑centric, consumer‑initiated, or direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) models. Experience working in non‑traditional channels such as digital health, at‑home testing, consumer health, or service‑based delivery. Track record leading early‑stage or ambiguous initiatives and building commercial strategy from concept to launch. Experience building external partnerships and ecosystems to enable new business models. Strong strategic and commercial acumen with proven ability to design and execute end‑to‑end go‑to‑market models. Excellent communication and storytelling skills with ability to distill complex concepts for executive leadership. Customer‑orientation with ability to translate human needs into compelling value propositions and journeys. Deep understanding of consumer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies, including digital channels. Experience leveraging behavioral insights, qualitative research, and real‑world data to inform strategy. Strong stakeholder alignment skills and ability to influence cross‑functional, matrixed teams. Experience with partnership development, ecosystem strategy, and co‑creation beyond traditional product offerings. Financial and analytical capabilities: business case development, pricing strategy, and growth modeling. Creative, curious, forward‑thinking mindset with bias for action and continuous learning.
