Registered Nurse - Home Care

As a Registered Nurse in Home Care, your exceptional ability to teach, counsel and empathize with each patient leads to an enhanced quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care. Conduct initial assessments; establish plan of care and provide prescribed treatments and demonstrated nursing abilities; coordinate the delivery of 24-hour care.
• Communication. Counsel and guide individuals and families towards self-help in recognition and solution of physical, emotional and environmental problems.
• Evaluation & Documentation. Conduct reassessment of each patient on a regular basis; maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation; supervise and serve as a resource to all home care staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Nursing Diploma required
• License and current registration to practice as Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
• Current NYS Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASN preferred
• Bachelors degree of Science in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred
• Availability of Motor Vehicle

Education:

AS: Nursing (Required)

Licenses / Certifications:

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Physical Requirements:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Pay Range:

$75,734.00 - $101,014.00
