Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract role is ideal for an experienced SLP eager to make a difference in a diverse, bilingual (English/Spanish) educational setting near Hamden, CT. Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license/certification in Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred but not required)
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with K-12 students with varied speech and language needs
- Flexibility and collaborative spirit for working with staff, families, and diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Communicate effectively with families to support student growth and participation
- Attend staff meetings, IEP meetings, and contribute to school-wide initiatives
