Make a meaningful difference supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school-based setting near New Haven, CT. This contract opportunity runs through June 10th and offers a chance to put your expertise and compassion to work with a supportive team. You’ll help students reach their communication goals and set the stage for long-term academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut teaching license required
- Eligible SLP credential: CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
- Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary ages, is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to design and implement effective speech-language interventions in an educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students with diverse needs
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each student, fostering confidence and skill development
