NOW HIRING: Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal

Full-Time | $65,000 – $75,000 Salary (Based on Experience)

We are looking for an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal who values accuracy, takes pride in producing quality legal work, and enjoys contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment that positively impacts clients' lives.

About the Role:

This is an in-office position based in Northborough, Massachusetts .

The Paralegal is an essential part of our legal team, helping attorneys handle client matters smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include drafting estate planning documents, assisting with probate proceedings, supporting Medicaid applications, and facilitating asset transfers.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of experience in estate planning and probate , possesses exceptional attention to detail, and can confidently manage client communications while keeping multiple matters organized and accurate.

Familiarity with WealthCounsel is a strong advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary: $65,000–$75,000, based on experience

$65,000 – $75,000 yearly salary depending on experience

Estate Planning Support

• Prepare wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments

• Draft deeds and facilitate real estate transfers

• File and electronically record deeds

• Help clients transfer and retitle assets

• Compile client information and maintain estate planning records

Probate & Fiduciary Administration

• Draft and submit probate court filings

• Compile asset inventories and financial accountings

• Prepare documents required to collect, distribute, or transfer probate assets

• Liaise with financial institutions and third parties to coordinate asset collection

Medicaid & Long-Term Care Planning Support

• Draft legal pleadings, estate planning documents, contracts, correspondence, and other court documents

• Gather supporting records and prepare Medicaid applications, indexes, and chronologies

• Complete legal forms, prepare deeds, and coordinate asset transfers or claims

• Track assets and prepare reports and supporting documentation

• Monitor Medicaid application progress and maintain awareness of filing deadlines

• Prepare court filings and Medicaid application materials

Case Management & Client Communication

• Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and provide case updates

• Track case developments and ensure deadlines are met

• Keep attorneys informed of case progress and approaching deadlines

• Maintain precise records in the firm's case management system

• Record billable and non-billable hours as required

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as an estate planning or probate paralegal

• Extensive knowledge of preparing estate planning and probate documents

• Background in drafting and recording deeds

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with WealthCounsel strongly preferred

• Excellent organizational abilities and a high level of attention to detail

• Ability to oversee multiple matters while ensuring accuracy and consistency

Travel Requirements

This position may require occasional travel to a satellite office , approximately 1–2 times per week .

• Average travel time: approximately 40 minutes
