Retail Loan Closer

• Review executed loan closing documents to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Validate consistency of loan terms, figures, and documentation across the file
• Audit loan files in Encompass and recreate/run mock loans through approval workflows to confirm accuracy
• Clear all "Prior to Funding" (PTF) conditions in accordance with underwriting and investor guidelines
• Ensure loans meet company policies, regulatory requirements, and investor standards prior to funding
• Balance Closing Disclosures (CDs) and verify fees, taxes, and escrow calculations
• Authorize and coordinate the disbursement of funds upon final approval
• Partner with title/settlement companies and internal teams (processing, underwriting, servicing) to facilitate closing
• Balance responsibilities across origination and servicing to ensure a clean loan delivery
• Perform quality control reviews and identify potential defects or compliance risks
• Maintain accurate loan documentation and tracking throughout the funding process
• Support additional duties as assigned while demonstrating alignment with company culture and values

Hourly Pay Rate: $30

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of mortgage closing, funding, or processing experience
- Previous mortgage banking experience is preferred, with basic familiarity with the lending process from application through funding
- Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
- Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
- Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
- Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
