This Quality Inspector role covers incoming, in-process, and final inspection across machining, assembly, and repair operations, with excellent work-life balance in a streamlined environment. Onsite in Northern New Jersey. About the Company Small, privately-owned engineering and manufacturing company Nearly 100 years in operation ISO certified with experienced engineering team Strong government contract portfolio Flat organizational structure with minimal bureaucracy Key Responsibilities Inspection Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of precision machined components and pump assemblies Dimensional inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and indicators Program and operate CMM equipment for complex part verification Complete first article inspections on new and repaired components Quality Systems & Documentation Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T Maintain inspection records within the ISO quality system Write non-conformance reports and support root cause and corrective action Support government source inspections and customer audits Maintain the gauge calibration program Cross-Functional Work Work with machinists, assemblers, and engineering to resolve quality issues Support disposition of non-conforming material Perform receiving inspection on supplier parts Required Qualifications 5+ years of quality inspection in a precision machining or manufacturing environment CMM experience (programming strongly ) Strong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency Hands-on with precision measurement instruments Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systems; military or government spec experience a plus Pump or rotating equipment component experience Comfortable in a machine shop environment Compensation & Benefits Up to $40/hour, based on experience Full benefits package Better work-life balance than large corporations #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
