Job Title Security Officer Customer Care Patrol Location Virginia Beach, VA Position Details Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology‑focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required by site policies, and assist with access control procedures for staff, guests, and/or deliveries. Support day‑to‑day operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post orders, and completing assigned reports related to security‑related incidents and/or patrol activities. Minimum Requirements Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
