As a Security Officer Customer Care Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an unarmed officer, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, supports access procedures, and thrives in a team focused on being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required by site policies, and assist with access control procedures for staff, guests, and/or deliveries.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post orders, and completing assigned reports related to security-related incidents and/or patrol activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
