Senior Product Designer

Our AI agents: Draft and maintain policies based on our customers' tech stack Assess risks and monitor mission critical vendors Review code and changes to a company's stack Continuously monitor posture against common cyber security frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR Compliance is the wedge. What we're building is the whole trust layer with continuous, AI-driven code security, cloud security, device security — owned end to end instead of stitched together between vendors. Always on, and better the longer you use it. We move fast and hold a high bar. The team is small enough that each person's work shows up directly in our product. The Role We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to own the product experience end to end. You'll take problems from ambiguous to shipped: understanding what compliance teams actually struggle with, framing the problem, exploring solutions, and driving the design through to a live product you're proud of. Compliance software has a reputation for being unusable — dense tables, buried workflows, interfaces that assume you already know the framework. We're building the opposite, and that's largely a design problem. Your work is what makes an AI-driven trust layer feel obvious instead of intimidating. You'll also be the founding voice on our design system, defining the components, patterns, and visual language that keep a fast-shipping team coherent as the product grows. We build with AI, and we expect you to as well. The best designers we've met use AI to compress the distance between an idea and something real — exploring more directions in a morning, prototyping interactions instead of describing them, and spending their own time on the taste and judgment calls that actually matter. Speed without a drop in craft is the bar. Core Responsibilities Own product areas end to end: Take features from problem definition through discovery, exploration, high-fidelity design, and launch — then watch how they're used and iterate. Design for complexity: Make dense, AI-driven dashboards and multi-step compliance workflows feel clear and calm. This is the hard part of the job and the reason the role exists. Build the design system: Define and maintain our components, tokens, and patterns so the team ships cohesive product without a designer in every loop. Prototype, don't just describe: Use interactive prototypes to pressure-test flows and get real reactions before engineering time is spent. Talk to users: Run lightweight research — customer calls, usability sessions, session review — and turn what you learn into design decisions you can defend. Partner tightly with engineering: Work alongside engineers through implementation, review builds against intent, and stay in the details until what ships matches what you designed. Raise the bar on craft: Audit the live product, hunt down inconsistencies, and hold the quality line as the surface area grows. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 6+ years designing digital products, with meaningful time on complex B2B SaaS, developer tooling, or data-heavy applications. A portfolio that shows shipped work and your thinking, not just final screens. Product thinking: You start from the user problem and the business goal, not the interface. You can explain why a design is right, not just that it looks good. Craft: Strong visual and interaction design — typography, layout, hierarchy, motion. Mastery of a modern design tool, whether that's Figma, Framer, or whatever you do your best work in, including component systems and interactive prototyping. We care about the output, not the logo on the file. Systems thinking: Deep understanding of design systems, component architecture, tokens, and responsive layout — you design for scale, not for one screen. AI-accelerated: Demonstrated use of AI tooling in your process — exploration, prototyping, research synthesis, asset generation. We'll ask you how you use it and where you don't. Fluent with engineers: Comfortable in a codebase-adjacent conversation. You understand what's cheap and what's expensive to build, and you write specs engineers don't have to interpret. Autonomy: You've operated without a large design org around you and can set your own direction in ambiguity. Bonus Points Ability to prototype in code (React, HTML/CSS, Tailwind) — not required, but it moves you faster Experience working on open-source or developer-facing products Familiarity with documentation tools like Storybook Experience designing data visualization or analytics interfaces A background or strong interest in AI products or the cyber security/compliance space #J-18808-Ljbffr Comp AI
