Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Travel Nurse Torrance, California. This role supports surgical services in an acute care hospital environment, including participation in scheduled weekend coverage and call shifts on a rotating basis. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days 8 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week. Includes 1 Saturday shift in a 6-week rotation and 23 on-call shifts in a 6-week rotation.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid California state license (CA license must be in hand)
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience with abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy and abdominal/plastics procedures (abdominoplasty, anterior/posterior repair/colporrhaphy) and other surgical volume as applicable
  • Charting experience with Epic
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic charting experience
• Additional Information:
  • Floating may be required, including possible float to other facilities as needed by the organization.
  • On-call is required: 1 call shift in a 6-week rotation.
  • Must be able to support the units general surgical scope, including GYN, Urology, ENT, Plastics, and robotics (as applicable).
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD).
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Pending license is not accepted.
  • Local candidates are accepted.
  • LA fire card within the last 30 days is required (not reimbursed by the healthcare provider).
  • Submission must include responses to: whether the candidate has worked at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem) and, if yes, location and dates worked.
  • Two references covering the last 1 year (6 months for CNA s) within the last 3 years are required (including prior to start).
  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within a given state; refusal may impact assignment continuity.
