Grants and Financial Coordinator

Position Purpose The Grants and Financial Coordinator position is key to the mission of the School of Public Health (SPH) and affiliated centers in research and training. This position provides grant support for faculty, postdocs, students, senior research staff and the administrative team. The coordinator is involved in supporting all aspects of federal, state and private foundation grants and contracts, and serves as a liaison with the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP), pre‑and post‑award staff, Controller’s Office and assists with day‑to‑day administrative activities of the Centers, as needed. The coordinator also provides financial support to the Department’s administrative group. This is a hybrid eligible position. Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, project management, or a related field OR equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience: Experience with federal and non‑federal grants preferred. Job Competencies Able to work quickly and efficiently with many concurrent deadlines and multiple Principal Investigators. Can collaborate with other support staff to meet deadlines. Advanced organizational skills gained through experience and education. Demonstrates efficiency and precision in completing tasks. Knowledge of Excel. Experience with proofreading and editing. Self‑starter, forward‑thinking individual with proven initiative and pro‑active attitude. Can multitask efficiently and accurately. Quantitative skills needed for budgeting. Excellent computer, written, organizational and communication skills. Ability to develop effective tracking systems.
