As a Line Cook for Mirbeau, you'll work alongside a professional culinary team, contributing to a thoughtful menu designed to complement wellness and elevated guest experiences. You'll prepare fresh, balanced cuisine, maintaining the culinary standards that support our Forbes-rated service. This position requires strong technique, composure under pressure, and a genuine passion for food that nourishes the body. This role is expected to perform the responsibilities as outlined below, always guided by culinary integrity and respect for the experience each dish creates.

Pay Rate: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour. Join our team as a full-time line cook and receive a $500 sign-on bonus! Payable after 90 days of successful employment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation & Production
  • Set up and stock the production line for The Bistro, ensuring all menu items are properly prepared and available
  • Prepare all menu items according to Mirbeau recipes and specifications, maintaining quality, consistency and timeliness
  • Follow portioning, plating and presentation guidelines
  • Verify that daily specials and standard menu items are prepared according to recipe guidelines and service timelines
  • Coordinate with the pantry prep cook to ensure garnishes, salads and condiments are ready for each service period
  • Ensure the production line is fully stocked and ready prior to each service period
  • Maintain full readiness of the line throughout service periods, restocking and adjusting as needed
  • Break down and clean the line at the end of each service
• Communication & Collaboration
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the Chef de Cuisine regarding menu changes, updates or shortages, prep needs, or service issues
  • Contribute to a positive kitchen environment by offering ideas and improvements, address challenges, and contribute solutions to enhance kitchen productivity and food quality
  • Collaborate professionally with kitchen and FOH staff to ensure seamless service
• Cleanliness & Food Safety
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas and personal grooming
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Handle, label and store food properly and safely to prevent spoilage, waste or food safety hazards
  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines and kitchen procedures at all times
  • Practice proper hygiene and personal cleanliness at all times
  • Follow all allergy-related procedures, ensuring meals are safely prepared, plated and served, keeping the safety and trust of the guest in mind
• Professional Conduct
  • Report to work on time, in a clean uniform with name tag, and with a professionally groomed
  • Uphold the standards of excellence expected in both service and appearance
  • Follow all instructions from the Chef de Cuisine, and complete additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements:

• Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in fine dining or refined restaurant kitchens
  • Culinary school education is a strong plus
  • Prior experience working in high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
• Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and interpersonal
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, tools and preparation methods
  • Able to read and follow recipes accurately and consistently
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, consistency and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Focused, goal-oriented, and dependable under pressure
