Job Number 341880 Job Title & Location Sheet Metal Technician - Various Shifts (Sacramento, CA) Job Summary Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment for general aviation aircraft. Work may involve cutting, bending, straightening sheet metal, shaping with anvils or blocks, soldering, welding, inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and surfaces. Job Responsibilities Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints. Set up for and install solid rivets with a rivet gun. Set up for and follow written and verbal instructions. Layout sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions. Alter existing parts using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions. Rivet and remove sheet metal components. Bend and form a radius on fabricated sheet metal parts. Drill various metals. Deburr holes and cut lines. Set up for countersinking holes. Set up for dimpling holes. Seal solid rivets with a squeeze tool. Install blind rivets and fasteners. Education High school diploma or equivalent certificate. Minimum 2 years of diversified aviation sheet metal experience. Qualifications Knowledge of FAA AC 43.13-1B. Skilled in identifying types of corrosion. Skilled in corrosion removal procedures. Skilled in application and removal of wash etch and alodine material. Skilled in application of primer. Identify rivets, bolts, screws, nuts, and washers. Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable. Compensation Pay range $29.64 - $49.02 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
